Commitment to Children’s Health and Well-being
As a fervent advocate for children’s health and well-being, West Coast Dental proudly supports the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles (CHLA). Our contributions of hygiene kits are meticulously assembled with care, aimed at providing comfort to both patients and visitors during their stay. In 2019, a significant visit was made by the West Coast Dental Regional Management Team, including Cristina Ricalday, Lucy Gonzalez, our COO Lucy Juarez, and one of the founding partners, Dr. Pakravan, to personally deliver these kits to teens and adolescents. Reflecting on this, Lucy Juarez remarked, “The visit was a poignant reminder of our purpose and the profound impact of our contributions. We’re excited to deepen our partnership with CHLA, fostering a legacy of support and care.”
Toys for Tots: A Season of Giving
The holiday season at West Coast Dental is marked by a spirit of generosity and joy, as we collaborate with the Salvation Army of Southern California for the Toys for Tots campaign. For over a decade, we’ve donated thousands of unwrapped toys, bringing smiles to underprivileged children. To involve our patient community in this joyful initiative, we offer a 10% discount on new services in exchange for toy donations. This initiative embodies our belief in the power of giving and the joy it brings to both giver and receiver.
GeriSmiles: Promoting Oral Health in Schools
Understanding the foundational importance of oral health, West Coast Dental has partnered with GeriSmiles to deliver dental cleanings and education directly to local schools. As a preferred partner, we’re committed to teaching children about the benefits of oral care, instilling habits that will last a lifetime. This initiative allows us to reach out to the community, providing essential services and education to foster a generation of healthy smiles.
Empowering Youth with FAME Church LA
In collaboration with the First African Methodist Episcopal Church of Los Angeles (FAME Church LA), West Coast Dental is dedicated to offering free orthodontic screenings for local youth aged 12-17. Dr. Crawford, a passionate advocate for community health, leads these screenings, offering each child a chance to win a donated set of braces during our Day of Giving. This partnership exemplifies our commitment to accessible dental care, emphasizing the importance of early orthodontic intervention and the difference it can make in a child’s life.
LifeStream Blood Bank: Connecting Donors with Patients
Aligning with our core values of care and community service, West Coast Dental has partnered with LifeStream Blood Bank. Our mission is to save lives by facilitating blood donations, a critical component of healthcare. In appreciation of each donor’s life-saving gift, we provide free toothbrushes, merging the importance of oral health with the vital act of blood donation. This collaboration not only aids in fulfilling an urgent healthcare need but also reinforces the interconnectedness of community well-being and individual health practices.
